Navigate to the ‘Create Task’ Button
You can create a task from several locations in Subtrak:
Tasks Page: Click the Create Task button to start a new task outside of a workflow.
Within a Workflow: When creating or editing a workflow, click the Create New Task button.
Clicking either button will open the Task Details Modal.
Enter the Task Name
In the Task Details Modal, the first step is to give your task a descriptive name that clearly identifies its purpose.
Assign Company Roles
Assign one or more company roles to the task. This helps define accountability by specifying which roles in your organization are responsible for completing the task.
💡 Tip: Company roles can be customized in the Settings Page.
Add a Task Overview
Use the Task Overview section to provide general details about the task.
You can include instructions, background information, or any other relevant context.
Formatting Tip: Press / in the editor to format the text (e.g., headings, bullet points, block quotes) or embed media like images and YouTube videos.
Add Steps (Optional)
To guide your team through the task, you can add step-by-step instructions:
Click the Add Step button.
Enter a step title and details.
Use / commands to format the text as needed.
Repeat to add as many steps as necessary.
This section ensures that your team knows exactly how to complete the task.
Attach Relevant Documents (Optional)
If the task requires specific files or resources, you can upload them in the Attachments section:
Drag and drop files directly into the Upload Documents area.
Or, click the Upload Documents area to browse and select files.
Use AI for SOP Writing (Optional)
For automated assistance, click the Apply AI button to generate detailed task information.

Save the Task
Once you’ve entered all the details, click the Save button. Your task will be saved in:
Tasks Page: A central repository of all tasks within your company.
Workflow Location: If created within a workflow, it will also appear in that workflow.
